What are the benefits of a roof lantern?

Roof lanterns enhance natural light distribution, creating the illusion of larger rooms. They conserve energy by minimising reliance on artificial lighting, improve thermal efficiency for warmer rooms, and enhance both interior and exterior décor — adding real value to any property.

Should I choose PVC or aluminium for my roof lantern?

Our roof lanterns are available in both PVC and aluminium. PVC offers outstanding value with excellent thermal performance and low maintenance, while aluminium provides a sleeker, slimmer sightline with a premium architectural finish. Both options are built to last and come with high performance glazing as standard.

How are roof lanterns and skylights delivered?

All our roof lanterns and flat skylights are delivered on our fleet of vehicles. We provide a fixed delivery date that will NOT change. UK mainland delivery is included as standard.

What sizes are available for roof lanterns?

We offer four versatile configurations: Contemporary (max 1,500mm x 3,000mm), 2-Way Design (max 1,500mm x 6,000mm), 3-Way Design (max 3,000mm x 6,000mm), and Square (max 2,000mm x 2,000mm). Flat skylights are also available in a range of sizes.

Do roof lanterns need planning permission?

In most cases, roof lanterns and skylights can be installed under Permitted Development without planning permission, provided the installation doesn't protrude more than 150mm above the existing roof plane. Listed buildings and conservation areas may have additional restrictions. Building Regulations approval is always required.
