Roof Lanterns & Skylights for Durham homes and sites
A roof lantern is sized to the kerb it sits on, not to the room — so the kerb needs to be built square and to a known size before the lantern is ordered.
We supply roof lanterns & skylights across the DH postcode area and the rest of County Durham, including Bishop Auckland (9 miles south-south-west), Sunderland (12 miles north-east) and Gateshead (12 miles due north). We supply and deliver — your own installer or builder does the fitting.
Durham carries a lot of period and conservation-area stock, so colour and section profile tend to matter more here than raw specification. RAL colours and heritage-style doors are both available — check with the local planning office before you order.

Roof Lanterns & Skylights in Durham — questions we get asked
What size kerb do I need for a roof lantern in Durham?
Build the kerb to suit the room, then order the lantern to the kerb's finished external dimensions. Getting the kerb square and accurately measured matters more than anything else.
Do roof lanterns cause overheating?
They can if the glass is wrong for the orientation. Solar-control glazing is available, and it's worth specifying on a south-facing roof.
What's the lead time for roof lanterns & skylights in Durham?
Around 3 weeks from confirmed sizes — the same wherever you are. Durham is about 68 miles due north of our Leeds factory, and every order is delivered on our own fleet, to a fixed date confirmed when you order.
Do you offer trade prices on roof lanterns & skylights in Durham?
Yes. Installers, builders and fabricators across the DH area — Durham, Bishop Auckland, Sunderland and Gateshead — can open a trade account: manufacturer-direct pricing, no minimum order value and a dedicated account manager.
